One Piece Episode of Luffy 60 Second Commercial Revealed

A 60-second commercial began airing for the television anime special One Piece Episode of Luffy: Hand Island no Boken (One Piece Episode of Luffy: The Hand Island Adventure). Click here to watch. The episode is scheduled to premiere on Saturday, December 15 at 9:00 p.m, right after One Piece Film Z opens. 

The special is a tie-in story to the upcoming One Piece Film Z with the lead character Luffy. The storyline is set a little before the events of One Piece Film Z and depicts a major "Hand Island" incident during the New World storyline with the pirate captain Shanks. The special will also have a flashback scene to the story in the first chapter of the manga, but with new animation.  

Both the television special and One Piece Film Z will debut this Saturday.
