Happy Birthday Doraemon—100 Years before Birth DVD to Release in September

 The “Happy Birthday Doraemon History Episode DVD-BOX” is going to be released by Shogakukan on September 3rd, 2012, which is exactly 100 years before the birth of Doraemon. This DVD-BOX, as the title indicates, is a special product containing impressive episodes about birthdays of many characters in Doraemon.

Manga Doraemon, written and illustrated by Fujiko F. Fujio, started serialization over 40 years ago. In the manga, Doraemon comes from the future and his birthday is September 3rd, 2112. So unlike other birthday celebrations, this one is unique. We’re going to celebrate Doraemon’s birthday 100 years before his birth.

In the DVD-BOX, there are 18 episodes strictly selected from the new edition started airing from 2006, and four DVDs: Doraemon & Dorami-chan Part, Nobita-kun Part, Shizuka-chan Part, Gian & Suneo Part are included in the pack. Besides, you will also get an Original Birthday Song CD sung by the characters, special birthday cards and a booklet of the characters’ birthday data (16 color pages).
