Berserk Manga Resume After Miura’s Brand New Mini-Series

According to this year’s 22nd issue of Hakusensha’s Young Animal magazine, Kentarou Miura will launch a brand-new manga called Gigantomakhia. This brand-new manga is a mini-series with six-chapter and the story sets in a world 100 million years in the future. Young Animal also announced that Miura’s Berserk manga which breaks in July this year will resume after the Miura runs the new mini-series.

Kentarou Miura’s Berserk manga was serialized in the Young Animal since 1989 and it has more than 100 million copies in print. The manga sets in a medieval Europe inspired fantasy world and it tells the story of characters in a mercenary. It also has 25-eposide anime adaptation series by Oriental Light and Magic and a series of films beginning with Berserk Golden Age Arc I: The Egg of the King. Both the manga and the anime are noted for their heavy violence.
